Hormonal Issues

Hormonal issues affect every one of us – yes, even men have hormones!

Hormonal issues, whilst usually caused by something else, do themselves cause many other varied types of health problem. Hormonal imbalances can cause a whole host of symptoms including weight problems, emotions, PMT, Menopause and anxiety. The most common cause here is nutritional deficiencies although for long term issues there can also be DNA implications.

A great deal of hormonal changes take place during the teenage years, causing mood swings, skin conditions, menstrual problems, and emotional issues. This time of life can be effectively supported at haveahealthylife.

The main hormonal gland that gives problems is the Thyroid. An under-active thyroid will mean that the person feels slow and tired, finds it difficult to lose weight, and may feel the cold. The cause here is either toxic metals, which lodge in the thyroid and stop it working properly, or nutritional deficiencies which either affect the production of T4 (thyroxin) or affect the body’s ability to convert T4 to the much more active T3.

Once identified they are usually easily corrected, either by a course of some minerals or herbal solutions which basically flush out the toxic metals, or some supplements to boost T4 and/or conversion to T3.

Haveahealthylife

At haveahealthylife we map meridian points to hormones and use homeopathic vials (non invasively) to screen for an excess or deficiency of the main hormones. Having identified an excess or deficiency, we then test for the supplements to help the body naturally break down any excess, or the supplements or herbs to help the body naturally make more of the required hormone.

For example: an under active thyroid may respond to iodine, and adrenal stress can be balanced by a short course of chromium. The B vitamins are often very effective in helping with menopausal symptoms.

At haveahealthylife we never automatically suggest the same treatment for every client with similar symptoms; it is all about looking at every client individually, and treating accordingly

This natural approach usually results in few, if any, side effects.
